Local employers looking to hire rejoice; the South Okanagan's largest job fair is coming back to Penticton.
The Start Here Penticton Job Fair returns on March 19, 2025, at the city's Trade and Convention Centre.
With limited space available, employers are now encouraged to register for the event.
ѻýThis event attracted more than 900 people through its doors last year, including everyone from high school students to highly skilled professionals scoping out new opportunities,ѻý said Blake Laven, the cityѻýs director of development services.
ѻýFor local employers, not only can you meet your potential next hire, but itѻýs also a great way to showcase your organization to hundreds throughout the community.ѻý
The job fair, which also proceeded in 2023 and 2024, is organized by the Penticton Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Penticton and WorkBC Centre South Okanagan.
Returning to the event this year are free sessions on trending topics, courtesy of WorkBC, to help job-seekers find new opportunities.
"Anyone who has been through the job-seeking process knows how hard it can be to stand out amongst a crowd," said Carly Berger, community engagement manager at the local WorkBC centre. "At this job fair, not only can you meet employers face-to-face, but you can gain some new skills and hear about employment trends that may just give you that competitive advantage."
An is available for interested employers until Dec. 20.
The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free to attend for job-seekers.
