UPDATE: 5:20 p.m. Eight-year-old Mazie Cunningham has been found safe and well.  The Vernon RCMP thanks the public for assistance.

ORIGINAL: Vernon RCMP is asking for public help locating a missing child.

Eight-year-old Mazie Cunningham was last seen leaving a store in the 5100-block of 24th Street in Vernon at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.

According to police, Cunningham may be heading to the Harwood area. Police, family and friends are actively trying to locate her.

She does respond to her name, but may be reluctant if approached by someone she does not know.

Cunningham is described as eight years old, with brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. 

She was last seen wearing a navy t-shirt, dark jean shorts, and dark running shoes with pink striping.
