An art auction put on by Kelownaѻýs Gospel Mission (KGM) was a great success.
The first annual event took place at Grizzli Winery in West Kelowna on Jan. 27 and in total raised $150,000 to support services at KGM.
More than 180 people attended and more than 30 original paintings were auctioned off.
ѻýThe generosity displayed by those in attendance, as well as the artists, galleries, and sponsors involved, is sincerely appreciated and is having a significant impact in our community,ѻý said KGMѻýs resource development specialist Spencer Larsen. ѻýTheir contributions made this all possible and elevated the event to a level that we couldnѻýt have imagined, and for that, we say thank you.ѻý
Because of the eventѻýs success, the second annual event has already been scheduled for 2025.
