Traffic stop leads Kelowna RCMP to cocaine, $22K in cash

Kelowna RCMP discovered more than $22,000 in cash and three kilograms of cocaine following a traffic stop and search of a home on April 11, 2025.

Kelowna RCMP nabbed an individual allegedly involved in selling drugs in the downtown area on April 11. 

According to an RCMP media release, officers with the Proactive Enforcement Unit (PEU), spotted a vehicle in the 1200 block of St. Paul Street and observed actions ѻýconsistent with drug trafficking.ѻý

Police pulled the vehicle over and the driver was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. More than $8,600 in various currencies and suspected illegal substances were found in the vehicle. 

A search warrant was also issued for a residence associated to the driver, in the 550 block of Coronation Avenue. Police recovered approximately 3.0 kilograms of cocaine and $14,000 in cash.
