A search warrant executed in West Kelowna led to the seizure of various drugs and weapons.

Officers in the Crime Reduction Unit searched a residence in the 2400-block of Drought Road on March 28.

The search found drug trafficking paraphernalia as well as suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cannabis.

Police also seized ѻýBritish Columbia Warriorsѻý gang clothing, a restricted firearm, multiple replica firearms, and a stun gun.

ѻýWeѻýre glad to get these harmful drugs, firearms and weapons off of our streets,ѻý says Cpl. Bryan Mulrooney of the West Kelowna RCMP CRU. ѻýWe remain committed to keeping our community safe and there is no doubt in my mind that the removal of these toxic drugs and guns prevented something terrible from eventually happening.ѻý

A 40-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were detained at the residence and have since been released. Charges will be recommended once the investigation is complete.
