There is one less person looking to be the candidate to represent the BC United Party for the Kelowna-Lake Country riding.
Mohini Singh has dropped out of the race.
ѻýSeeking the nomination for MLA in the Kelowna Lake Country riding has always been about my record of public service, dedication and commitment to people,ѻý she said.
ѻýI believe my political experience combined with my deep passion for social issues and an equitable society positioned me as the most effective candidate to serve and voice peopleѻýs concerns at the legislature.
Singh added that moving through the nomination process has been challenging in ways she did not expect.
ѻýI have decided it is best for me to step out of the race, as I feel the race has become unnecessarily divisive and difficult for me to navigate.ѻý
Singh said she is grateful for the opportunity to seek the BC United nomination and looks forward to continuing to serve the people of Kelowna as a city councilor.
