Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made a campaign stop at Victoria乌鸦传媒檚 Beacon Drive In Restaurant on Saturday evening, rallying supporters and highlighting his party乌鸦传媒檚 core promises ahead of the 2025 election.

Singh was joined by local candidates, including Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke乌鸦传媒檚 Maja Tait, Saanich-Gulf Islands乌鸦传媒� Colin Plant, and Victoria乌鸦传媒檚 Laurel Collins.

He thanked volunteers for their dedication, calling them 乌鸦传媒渢he energy that drives our movement.乌鸦传媒�

乌鸦传媒淭his election is really important,乌鸦传媒� Singh told the crowd. 乌鸦传媒淲hat we乌鸦传媒檝e found is that our country works best when one party doesn乌鸦传媒檛 have all the power.乌鸦传媒�

Earlier this week, Singh cast his ballot in Burnaby alongside his wife and urged Canadians to take advantage of advance voting.

In his remarks, Singh took aim at both Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and Liberal leader Mark Carney, warning that their platforms include billions in cuts that could threaten public services.

乌鸦传媒淎t a time when we乌鸦传媒檙e going through so much uncertainty, so much worry, so much anxiety 乌鸦传媒� is that the right thing to do?乌鸦传媒� he asked. 乌鸦传媒淚f you want someone who乌鸦传媒檚 going to fight back against any government that wants to cut the things that make us Canadians, vote for New Democrats.乌鸦传媒�

The NDP campaign is focusing on affordability, health care, and housing. Singh pledged to guarantee access to a family doctor by 2030, launch universal pharmacare, and introduce legislation to prevent the privatization of health services.

The party has also committed to building three million homes, implementing national rent control, and capping prices on grocery essentials such as pasta and infant formula.
