Collision causes eastbound traffic turmoil on West Kelowna's Highway 97

At least two vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday

A multi-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 97, shortly before the turn-off to Nancee Way, is causing congestion for Kelowna-bound traffic. 

One vehicle has been towed from the scene and emergency crews remain on-scene, awaiting a tow truck for a second vehicle. 

The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, and itÎÚÑ»´«Ã½™s unknown if the vehicle occupants sustained injuries. 

Eastbound Highway 97 traffic is backed up to Ross Road in West Kelowna. 

Sneena Road at Tomat Avenue is also experiencing congestion as motorists have detoured onto Nancee Way to bypass the collision, in order to access the W.R. Bennett Bridge. 

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
