One Lake Country business has made a big impact in the community ѻý Voyager RV Centre donated more than $88,000 as of September to local charities through its initiative Voyager Cares.
ѻýWhile our core business revolves around sales and servicing of RVs, we believe in extending our impact beyond that,ѻý said Voyager RV vice-president Jason Friesen.
ѻýI just think there has to be more to it, and I feel like as business operators, we have a responsibility to our community.ѻý
The charity program launched in early 2023. Through spring and summer Voyager was able to support Kelowna Hospice House, Mamas for Mamas, the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the BC Cancer Foundation.
Recipients were presented with the cheques on Sept. 12.
The company continued to support charities through the end of 2023 with Paws it Forward and Critteraid Animal Sanctuary also benefiting.
The goal was to give away over $100,000 in donations to local groups through the year.
