The West Kelowna Warriors lost 2-1 in game four of their first round series on Wednesday, April 9 against the Brooks Bandits. They are now down 3-1 in the series.

The West Kelowna Warriors officially have their backs against the wall.

After a 2-1 loss in game four on Wednesday night (April 9), the team is now down 3-1 to the Brooks Bandits in their first round BCHL playoff series.

Just 26 seconds into the game, Brooks' Luke Bibby opened the scoring with his fourth goal in four games this postseason to make it 1-0.

Later in the frame, the Bandits took advantage on the powerplay as Parker Lalonde found the back of the net for the third time in two games to double the lead.

At the 6:03 mark of the second period, Jackson Kyrkostas cut the deficit in half with a powerplay goal of his own, assisted by Axel Lofgren and Tyler Grahme but that's as close as the Warriors would get.

Édouard Gauthier was busy in net once again for the Warriors, making 33 saves. Bandits netminder Zach Zahara made 21 saves in the win.

The two teams will now head back to Brooks for game five and a do-or-die game for the Warriors. Puck drop on Friday, April 11 is set for 6 p.m. Pacific time. If the Warriors win, the two teams will return to Royal LePage Place to play game six on Sunday, April 13.
