Cary McCook was just trying to get to his Smithers hotel. A deer was just trying to run away from a dog.
Unfortunately, they butted heads.
McCook, who is from the Kwadacha First Nation and part of a hip-hop group called Reka-NatioN, was in Smithers to take an environmental training course when he got out of a coworker乌鸦传媒檚 truck near the Stork乌鸦传媒檚 Inn. He had only taken a few steps when a deer galloped right into him.
乌鸦传媒淚 still can乌鸦传媒檛 believe I got hit by a deer,乌鸦传媒� said McCook. 乌鸦传媒淚 heard three gallops and I turned to my left and before I could make out what it was, I see a deer coming towards me and it hits me and I乌鸦传媒檓 on the ground.乌鸦传媒�
McCook had to check with his coworkers to make sure it was a deer and even stuck around to talk to hotel management.
乌鸦传媒淚 was able to get security footage because no one believed me because it was April Fools,乌鸦传媒� he said.
Not even his own mother took him at his word.
乌鸦传媒淭he first thing I did was call my mom,乌鸦传媒� said McCook. 乌鸦传媒淚 was like mom, I got hit by a deer in front of my hotel room and then she kind of laughed and said 乌鸦传媒業乌鸦传媒檝e heard better than that.乌鸦传媒櫸谘淮綕

McCook loves every moment of it.
